THE CLEAN SLATE GROUP
Trinity will host a new AA and Al-anon group on Wednesday mornings from 10:00-11:00 a.m. beginning April 10th. Please share this information so people in the wider community are aware of this new group.

SCHOOL MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMS BENEFIT RESULTS
We especially want to thank Alyssa Iverson, manager of the Barnboard, who was so generous. Betty Johnson, Karen Riley, Sue Frank, and others put in a lot of work!
Thrivent Action Team money was used to buy the hanging flower baskets and the quilt was donated by the quilters of Trinity. Thanks to all those who bought chances for the
prizes! Winners of the raffles were: Judy Jones, Sally Doornink, Tim Corbit, Janet DeLong, Kristin Bibeau, Kelly Browning, and Stacy Noll.

Sunday May 19th is Senior Recognition Sunday, New Members Received, and also Day of Pentecost. You are invited to wear red,
or other flame colors like yellow, orange, or propane blue, and bring red flowers to decorate the sanctuary.

WORSHIP ASSISTANTS
Worship Assistants are a vital part of our Sunday gatherings. Training is available for all positions. Trinity has an awesome group of people who are willing to lead the
singing and music, but there is always room for more. This group arrives between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. to practice for the morning worship. There are multiple roles that people
fill each week. Please consider signing up through the weekly Peek of the Week, on the Sunday clipboard, or by calling the church office and asking about openings. Other assistants for Sunday include: Ushers – hand out bulletins, collect offering, direct people for communion, clean up around the chairs in the sanctuary following worship; Lectors
(Readers) – read the appointed lesson from the reading desk (pulpit); Communion Set-Up and Serving – at least two people are needed, and the duties can be shared with a
friend, instructions for set up are posted where the elements are located; Acolytes – light the candles during the Prelude and extinguish the candles after the first verse of the
Sending Hymn; Slide Show (Power Point) – follow the order of service to advance the slides for the congregation; Sound/Video Technician – boot up the system and connect
for the live-stream, control some microphones. Thank you for helping to make worship awesome!

This story will unfold artistically, musically, narratively, and scripturally during the event. All are welcome! Come and see! In Memory of Lawrence Johnson. Paul Oman is a Wisconsin resident who has received national and international recognition for his watercolors He has painted murals for several area churches, including Trinity.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH?
New members will be received Sunday, May 19th during worship. If you are interested in becoming part of the community of God’s people at Trinity, please speak with Pastor Julie.

MALAWI AFRICA and NORTHWEST WISCONSIN
In 2006, the NW Synod of WI was able to host the Cathedral Choir from Lilongwe, Malawi. They performed 15 concerts throughout the synod. Paul Oman painted the watercolor “Walking in the Light” to support and honor the people of Malawi, Africa. Trinity purchased one of those watercolors which is out in the fellowship area now. The guiding scripture for this watercolor is Philippians 3:12-16: “Not that I have already obtained this or have already reached the goal; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.”

TRINITY is HELPING with NEW MOBILE FOOD PANTRY – Saturday, May 11th from 12:30-1:00 pm
Fresh Express Community Outreach from Hudson has a Mobile Food Pantry truck. They will park their truck in our parking lot on the second Saturday of every month. Free food will be given out from 12:30—1:00. Anyone is welcome to attend the distribution. In an era of great food insecurity, this is good way to be God’s hands in the world. Please pass the world on. A good turnout helps keep fresh food from going to waste and helps stretch tight budgets.

LUTHER POINT BIBLE CAMP is hiring for the summer! See posters in narthex.
Also, they have opened registrations for attending various summer camps. There are day camps, weekend camps, week-long camps, and exciting themes such as horse camp, fish camp, art & crafts, and grandparent-grandchild camp. See lutherpoint.org for more information or call:715-689-2347

FOOD PANTRY CART CHANGES
We will discontinue the Food Cart for the time being, as the weather requires moving it in and out and the church isn’t open often enough for folks hoping to come inside. Instead, people can use a small shelf at the Hammond Library, the Village Office lobby -open 24 hours, or larger ones in Roberts and Baldwin that are open certain days. Also the Fresh Express mobile food truck is in our lot the second Saturday monthly.

AMONG FRIENDS—A DEMENTIA SOCIAL RESPITE PROGRAM in RIVER FALLS
If you are caring for anyone facing memory challenges, you are not alone. Many caregivers could use a break occasionally and might not be aware of this program. Among Friends offers a few hours of relief to refresh yourself and give the person with dementia some independence by getting them out to enjoy the company of others. Research shows that even a little social activity a week can delay memory decline in seniors, help sleep, and decrease agitation. The group meets every Tuesday from 9-3 (come when you can) at First Congregational Church in River Falls (110 No. 3rd St.). You can drop off your loved one with trained professionals who ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Food and activities are offered, including music, crafts, chair yoga, conversations, and visits from animal friends or other learning activities. A catered lunch is provided. The cost for all of this is $35, though talk to them if this is a problem. Rides might also be arranged if this is an issue. A brochure is in the narthex; you can also look for more information at their website: amongfriendsrf@gmail.com or call: 715-293-2561.
