YOUTH UPCOMING & SUMMER EVENTS
MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GATHERING – First, for the middle schoolers in grades 5th – 8th grade, there is the one-day gathering at Bethany Lutheran in Rice Lake on Saturday, April 12th. The theme is UNDERTOW and will explore what it looks like to trust in God when faced with change and uncertainty, and what it means for us to be an example of the change that is needed. You receive a T-shirt, a meal, and snacks and plenty of inspiration and fun, all for the low price of $50. Please let Pastor Julie know by March 5th if you are interested. HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GATHERING – Second, there is a summer Youth Gathering for students who have completed 8th-12th grade on July 8th-11th. Five other regional synods will join the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin for this gathering which will be held at UW-River Falls. This promises all the great feels of a National Youth Gathering but it is more economical. The theme is ENTANGLED, and will create space for youth to encounter God in new and meaningful ways through creative ministry, challenging conversations, inspiriting guest speakers and musicians, service learning projects, and uplifting worship experiences. The $50 deposit is non-refundable while the total cost is $325. Please let Pastor Julie know if you have interest by March 16th, so planning and raising funds can be accomplished. LUTHER POINT BIBLE CAMP – Third, there are adventures awaiting at Luther Point Bible Camp this summer! One goal of the NW Synod of WI is to have every kid attend Bible camp! It is the one event which strengthens faith and predicts future engagement and leadership in the church. It is a place of abundant love of Christ. YOUTH MUSICIANS ARE INVITED TO LUTHERAN SUMMER MUSIC!
March 1 is the standard enrollment deadline for Lutheran Summer Music Academy & Festival 2025. LSM is the nation’s premier faith-based music academy for high school students. Students come together from all over the country to immerse themselves in joyful music-making and build a supportive and welcoming community, living together on a college campus. LSM 2025 takes place at Valparaiso University in Indiana
from June 22-July 20* (Full Session) or June 22-July 6 (Half Session) and is open to students who have completed grades 8-12. *Early check-outs will be coordinated for students attending the LCMS National Youth Gathering. To learn more see the poster in the narthex or go to LSMacademy.org/program.
